The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is an organization tasked with preserving native fish, wildlife, plant species, and natural communities for their intrinsic and ecological value, as well as their benefits to people, including habitat protection and maintenance in sufficient quantity and quality to ensure the survival of all species and natural communities.
